Nestled in the heart of North Sacramento, Calvary Christian Center (CCC) was founded by world-renowned pastor, teacher, author and motivational speaker, Dr. Phillip G. Goudeaux, and his beautiful wife, Dr. Brenda K. Goudeaux.

Since 1980, CCC has been a pioneer in the local, national, and international community, making the Word of God tangible through understandable, practical teaching and leadership. CCC has experienced exceptional growth and success- both locally and internationally.

Calvary Christian Centers beginnings were humble; seventeen members began holding services in the Interfaith Service Bureau, a small building on Folsom Boulevard in Sacramento. In less than three months, the Bureau, seating 150 people, was too small.

As the congregation continued to grow, the church relocated to the Red Lion Inn. This was only a temporary location. After two months, due to phenomenal expansion of its membership, the church was compelled to move the body to the auditorium of Grant High School in the city’s north area.

Being a man of vision and faith, Dr. Goudeaux and the congregation set their hearts to believe for a permanent location.

Through divine confirmation they began to believe for a complex located at 2665 Del Paso Boulevard. The property, which included the church, an adjacent apartment complex and four houses, was appraised at a price that the church was unable to meet, but God controlled the situation, giving Dr. Goudeaux overwhelming favor with the owners.

The church was blessed to purchase the land and the buildings for less than the market value. In April of 1982, Calvary Christian Center held its first service in that building. In less than a year, the 900-seat sanctuary was full to capacity and in order to accommodate the congregation the church started having multiple services.

In the 90’s Calvary Christian center saw their faith for a new building to accommodate the growing congregation manifest. The 2,500 seat “Sanctuary” is now home to one of the fastest growing, multi-cultural congregations in California.
